GALS Denver Annual Student Self-Efficacy Survey
Outcome Evaluation
Overview
The Girls Athletic Leadership School (GALS) of Denver incorporates movement into its curriculum. It is based on the philosophy that physical movement has a positive impact on academics. GALS students complete an annual self-efficacy survey. Through this ongoing survey school leadership can better understand how their programs are building self-confidence, in particular among their students of color, students with learning disabilities, and students who are multi-lingual learners.
Evaluation Approach
Since 2014, The Evaluation Center has analyzed the annual student survey to evaluate the program’s impact on student self-efficacy. In addition to providing trend data for ongoing, data driven decision making, we work with the GALS team to continually improve data collection and reporting.
