RaptorTech – Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) – Building the Cybersecurity Technical Workforce
Formative & Implementation Evaluation
Overview
Front Range Community College and St. Vrain Valley Schools, along with industry partners, are collaborating to implement a Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) program in cybersecurity. The P-TECH model provides students with a high school diploma, an associate degree in a high-demand technical field, and significant industry work experience, at no cost. The project’s goal is to build a diverse channel of cybersecurity technicians to address the significant regional workforce shortage.
Evaluation Approach
We track student enrollment and academic progress. In addition, students self-assess their development in workplace readiness skills and demeanors. Annual surveys are administered to students, faculty, and industry partners/mentors.
